That's it! but I need to translate echo Y

This command, the win nt variant of yours, does invoke a controller shutdown, but it is asking me to answer Y or N.

C:\Lotus\Domino\nserver.exe -jc -q

So I just need to figure how to get that included and I'm on my way!

Thanks so much for the advice!

ps
here's what seems to work for windows (powershell):

$wshShell = New-Object -ComObject wscript.shell
C:\Lotus\Domino\nserver.exe -jc -q
Start-Sleep -s 5
$wshShell.SendKeys("Y")
$wshShell.SendKeys("~")
